I love getting the most out of one pattern. I've made 2 other shirt dresses out of the Renfrew pattern. I used a shirt dress that I have already to help determine the link.
Yellow knit ponte dress:
So excited to wear this color! I don't have a lot of yellow clothes. I sewed it just like my white renfrew from before, but added length to it.
Green knit dress:
So comfy! I ordered this sweater knit fabric from fabric.com and was delighted to open it and actually like it. I later found out though that I sewed it inside. Did you know knit has an right and wrong side? Sweater knit is challenging to sew. I tried sewing a regular circular neck, but it seemed to pop up, so I just sewed a cowl neck instead. I just love these cowl necks.
I want to keep making these simple dresses, but I'm itching to make a boat neck or add some more style to it. I have a blue jersey knit that I also ordered, but I want it to be a little more stylish. Ideas?
